PROJECT DETAILS
For the removal of nitrates contained in well water at Platanidia, the ion exchange process was chosen.
The water treatment system consists of 2 containers working independently from each other.
The raw water, after passing through a twin bag-filter enters the 2 columns containing the ion exchange resin for treatment. The water flow to each container is automatically regulated by means of the installed flow meter and the electric valve.
At the top of each column there is an automatic volumetric valve that regenerates the resin with a brine solution when a certain amount of water has passed.
Finally, the treated water ends up in an adjacent storage tank.
Each container can process up to 1000 m3 of water per day.
